Point of information; the reason that so many different Billiard breaks appear on the badges of old cues is that usually these breaks refer to the world record for a particular set of rules. In 1907 the rules were changed specifically to make it illegal to score using a particularly dull to watch method, the anchor cannon. Sometimes breaks appear that were a personal high break of a particular player even though they were not a world record.
