Cues Views at Northern Snooker Centre

Nice visit to Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds. Met Cliff Thorburn again. He was very pleasant to talk to. Of course I asked him about his old Adam cue. He told me today it’s in pride of place in his billiard room.
I asked my brother John to travel to Leeds with me to take pictures of the Northern Snooker Centre as there had been rumours of a sale and possibly the end of the venue.
The sale did take place a couple of years later to Concept Taverns, a company that continue the traditions of the Northern Snooker Centre. The Williamson family, owners of the Northern Snooker Centre since 1974, were keen to see the heritage of the business invested in and preserved.

Myself and a group of friends decided to make the journey to Leeds for some games of snooker and practice, a journey made many times due to the superior facilities offered at the Northern Snooker Centre.
We were delighted, on our arrival, to meet three times ranking event winner, Ricky Walden as he took a break from a Presentation Night where he took on eight local players followed by a presentation of prizes for all Club Competitions.
We had a bit of banter and took photos.

In 2016 I attended the World Billiards Championships at the Northern Snooker Centre, one of many visits to Leeds to see competitions; amateur, professional, Billiards or snooker, held there..
