UK Seniors Snooker Championship 2018
It was a great day on Wednesday at the UK Seniors Snooker held for the first time at the Bonus Arena, Hull. The publicity for the event stated that a host of snooker’s greatest ever players would descend on the city to battle it out for the title, including defending Champion Jimmy ‘The Whirlwind’ White.
Ireland’s Ken Doherty won the Championship for the first time following a 4-1 final victory against Igor Figueiredo.
I had a chat with Jimmy White. Ken Doherty and Cliff Thorburn. I saw John Parrot, Joe Johnson and Igor Figuredo play. Plus I had a very pleasant chat with Stephen Hendry about his Powerglide cue. I also saw referee, Michaela Tabb in action.
A lovely day and a rare treat these days to spend time with my friend and fellow cue collector Andy Hunter as well.
