Your cue was made by Willie Holt (Burnley) Ltd., between the wars.
In 1916 they expelled their founder, Willie Holt, who moved to Blackpool and started to trade again under his own name in the early 1920s.
To avoid potential conflict, the Burnley company re-branded themselves “Burnley Billiard Works” arranging the company name to make these words prominent in adverts and correspondence. Willie had stopped trading just before the war, and he died in 1948, so after this they resumed trading with the full company name.
