Barnes Brothers cue

The Barnes Brothers, Stoke on Trent cue.

The cue has a pear wood shaft and a disc badge.

In 1919 the Barnes brothers, Ernest (1889-1947) and John Arthur (1890-1932) formed a partnership to operate billiard halls in Crewe and Kidsgrove.

They maintained their own tables and offered a similar service to other clubs and owners in the same locality.

This business continued after the deaths of the brothers until at least 1958, operated by other family members.
