Wright’s cue
The Wright’s cue from Wright of 7 Argyll Street, London W. (24 Prize Medals).
The cue is hand spliced and only 10 ounces in weight.
The cue is c1908-1914 as indicated by the 24 prize medals mentioned on the badge, the 24th of which was awarded at the Franco-British Exhibition held at White City, London, in 1908. The practice of mentioning medals on badges ceased in 1914.
The company, then registered as George Wright and Co Ltd was wound up and re-started with a new name, Geo Wright and Co also in 1908.
The premises at Argyll Street was Wrights headquarters and a showroom.
